Healthy berry pancakes

Healthy living doesn't have to be boring. There is always ways to make your favorite dishes Healthy. For the past couple of months my breakfast had some variation of Egg, wholemeal bread, peanut butter and a banana. So I wanted to have something different for breakfast.

Pancakes have been a delicious yet calorie ladden breakfast for years!

However, you only need to be determined enough to research and find healthy versions of this yummy breakfast.

Although most recipes I found had bananas. Now I love bananas! I have it everyday.  But mostly I like bananas as bananas. Not really a fan of banana smoothies!

So I made my pancakes with Mixed berries.

Berries are very good for your body. They have antioxidants, and fiber that promotes a healthy digestive system, good heart health and sharp memory.

Pretty much all of my smoothies have berries and its something I have a few times a week.
So for myself and as something different I made Healthy, berry pancakes

.
The recipe makes 3 medium pancakes fit for 1 person for a meal.
This breakfast is about 192cals in total.

Ingredients:
1 Egg
1/3 Cup mixed berries
1tsp Honey / maple syrup (optional)
20g raisins  (optional)

1. Break egg and whip until smooth.
2. Cut up the berries into smaller pieces and add to egg mixture.
3. Heat up medium sized pan with cooking spray.
4. Get a ladle or deep spoon and collect part of mixtures and put onto pan.
5. Wait until the pancake bubbles then turn over.
6. Make 3 pancakes!
7. Top with honey or maple syrup and raisins.
8. Enjoy for breakfast with your cup of Green tea.

If its not enough you can always double the recipe or add some nuts, fruit or greek yogurt.

Enjoy your Yummy yummy, Healthy breakfast!! 

Healthy Living

So I do a lot of research on Weight loss, Healthy recipes and Fitness.

In my background, I used to be very skinny before my family and I moved to Australia. Then I was introduced to chips and sodas and junk food. I didn't know any better and no one told me that it was unhealthy. So naturally I put on weight. But I was blind to it. Coming from a 3rd world country being overweight or obese is not something that was in my radar. But then suddenly I noticed that I have this big tummy, that I have Stretchmarks!!! The transformation seemed to have happened overnight.

Me before putting on weight.
After putting on weight.

At the time I didn't know where to go for help. So I told myself (like I have for many other things I've wanted) when I'm working and have the money I will join a gym and do something about it. I'm not someone that likes to depend on other people. Even my own parents.

But the I was introduced to a weight loss program called Healthpointe2.0. I'm not going into it because I'm not selling anything.

But it was a good program and the things I learned from them were very valuable. I never starved myself etc. I had 3 main, healthy meals and 3 snacks along with supplements. So I learned a lot about good nutrition from it. By the end of the program I lost 15kgs in 6wks. :)

I have a very stubborn mind. So while on the 6wk program I stuck to it 100%. But after I finished it I went a bit slack. Now I didn't gain back all the weight I lost. but I did gain about 5kgs. Like everyone my weight fluctuates as well.

Last year I joined a local gym and I am regular at the classes there. I enjoy it and workout about 5 times a week. However, for the last 2 months I participated in another weight loss challenge. A few good things came from it.

1. I'm very close to my weight goal.
2. My mind set changed from having a weight goal to having a Body Fat Percentage goal.
3. I began living a healthy eating lifestyle.

The last is the reason I'm writing this blog post.

I DON'T eat 100% healthy. In fact I went out to a Korean BBQ last night!

I have changed my ways for when I'm at home, work or studying.
Now I'm constantly looking for healthy recipe ideas, healthy snacks and healthy ways to make my favourite dishes. (I was looking up healthy pancakes just this morning! ;) )

I'm very active and all those things I told myself I will do with my own money? Well slowly I'm doing them! You can follow my progress and my journey here or on my Instagram :)

The reason I'm writing this blog is because I want to share this journey with whoever is interested. From my own research I know there are thousands of similar bloggers out there. But this is also for myself. To keep my motivation high and just engage with the world at hand.

The Current Me that's accomplishing my dreams!

So I hope you enjoy what I have to share when it comes to My Healthy Living Journey! :)

REVIEW: Savage Desire (Desire, Oklahoma: The Founding Fathers 3) by Leah Brooke.

A Siren Erotic Romance

Erotic Western Ménage a Quatre Romance, M/F/M/M, HEA

Raised in a bordello, Sarah Smith knew it was only a matter of time before she’d have to earn her keep on her back, the way her mother did, instead of doing the washing and cleaning. When one of the bordello’s meanest customers—an outlaw—noticed her, she knew her time had run out. She rushed to pack her things, only to discover that she’d accidentally stolen the outlaw’s gold. Running away, she finds herself on a train, headed for Desire, Oklahoma.

Met by the tall, dark Indian, she finds herself drawn to him, and before she knew it, found herself married to him—and his two brothers.  She knew, though, that Willy would come after her—and his gold.  Realizing the danger she’d brought to her new home, she runs away, determined to keep her new husbands safe. But Hawke, Blade, and Phoenix Royal aren’t intimidated by Willy, and will do anything to protect her.

There is no touching between the brothers.

I'm going to participate in the Ride To Conquer Cancer this year!!!

Like most everyone Cancer has touched my life too. I lost my beautiful aunt to this dreadful disease 2 years ago. It truly was devastating to loose a dear life in the prime of her life. I will never get over it and will forever remember my sweet aunt and everything she's done for me in life.

So I'm going to help Peter Maccallum Cancer foundation raise money for Cancer research and finding a cure for Cancer!

Please support me by spreading the word and letting more and more people know about this cause.

My motto is "Little drops of water make a ocean".  Its something I've heard since I was young and it has been with me all these years.

I'm hoping to raise $2500 this year. I am VERY daunted by this amount! But I'm going to be POSITIVE!! No thoughts of "Oh God! I cant raise this amount!!!!" is allowed to enter my mind!

I've worked it out. I just need 500 people to donate $5!

I CAN DO THIS!!!

I'm going to do anything I can think of to raise this money (barring illegal activity of course!).

I will go the extra mile.

So PLEASE help me.

Just spread the word and let your family, friends, co-workers and strangers on the train know about what I'm trying to do.

Help me reach 500 (gulp) people who will donate just $5!!!

Japanese drama: Ouran high school host club

I know, I know. This drama has been out for a long while. But while I was into anime since I was young. It was only a mild interest. Whatever was on the TV network at the time. However this year I really got into anime. More on the shouju romantic anime side. I LOVED Kaichou wa maid sama!

So I watched the anime for Ouran high school host club and loved it! Although I was disappointed there wasn't more. That they didn't explore more.... (keeping spoilers at bay!)

I REALLLYYY hope that they do explore EVERYTHING in the drama! There's also a movie as well!!! *squee!*

Like I said in my last post I'm gonna watch 'High school love on' first and then 'Ouran high school host club'. So give me couple of weeks for the review.
I'm gonna keep you updated on what I'm planning to do!

The story revolves around a high school girl named Fujioka Haruhi (Kawaguchi) at the prestigious Ouran Academy, who stumbles upon a group of male students who have formed their own club as hosts. Accidentally breaking an antique vase, Haruhi ends up owing the club a vast amount of money, and she ends up posing as a host in order to repay her debt.

Anyone have more similar anime recommendations for me??? I have watched a few that I came across in my research...

Korean Drama: High school love on

I’m starting 2 Korean and Japanese dramas. I’m only going to watch one review per drama due to a lot issues such as my crappy internet, uni assignments etc. Reviewing each episode may not work well. So I'm thinking to watch all the episodes that are out for 'High school love on' so far and do 1 review for them and go from there.

So without further ado, the first drama to catch my eye is “High school love on”. This is a Korean romantic teen fantasy drama. I haven’t watched much Korean fantasy dramas so this definitely peeked my interest.

My review will be up soon!

Lee Seul Bi (Kim Sae Ron) is an angel who is sent to Earth to look after Shin Woo Hyun (Nam Woo Hyun), who lives with his grandmother and carries emotional scars from being abandoned by his parents. Despite his cold demeanor, Woo Hyun is popular in school because of his good looks and singing ability. When his best friend, Hwang Sung Yeol (Lee Sung Yeol), finds out a secret that ties them together and also develops feelings for Seul Bi, who is posing as a fellow student at their school, the best friends turn into rivals. Can Seul Bi survive first love and other the perils of life as a teenager and properly do her job to protect Woo Hyun?
